In the Christian world, the 40 days following the indulgent celebration of Mardi Gras – or “Fat Tuesday” – is known as the more sober season of Lent. If you’re wondering, Lent is the 40 days before Easter which has historically been a time of fasting, prayer, and meditation leading up to the most joyous day of the Christian calendar: Easter.
During the next 40 days we’ll be reflecting on the celebration of Easter here on the blog. We’ll be hearing from different voices and if you want to chime in, we’d love to listen! If you have any questions about Easter time please leave us a comment, tweet to @gccmadison or post on our Facebook wall. We’d love to hear from you.
