I always enjoy preaching, but I’m especially looking forward to the start of our new fall sermon series at Grace Community Church.
Why am I excited about our upcoming series? Because of the subject! Who is the subject? God is! You say isn’t God the subject of every message you preach? The answer to that would be yes. But this series is special for a couple of reasons.
The Tie In With The Gospel Project
- The first reason I’m excited about this series is that each week the Sunday morning sermon will correspond to that week’s small group study for the Gospel Project. That means that if questions were raised during the sermon you can discuss them in greater depth during your small group time. Or maybe you can get some clarification about some aspect of the sermon that perhaps wasn’t clear – or wasn’t made clear during the Sunday message.
- Second I’m excited about this upcoming series because we are going to examine what the Bible says about God from a trinitarian aspect. That’s a three dollar word that means were going to be examining God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit during the series.
I’m going to be working hard to help put all the pieces together of who our great God is and what He has done for us through Christ.
Please be praying for me. I have numerous resources I’m studying each week in preparation for the messages. Pray that I would be able each week to read broadly, mediate purposefully, and think deeply about our incomprehensible God.
