For the past two years Grace Community Church has taken part in the Lottie Moon Christmas offering and this year is no different.
Each year we set a goal that we as a church family want to contribute. Each year with the Lord’s help and blessing we have reached the goal. Again this year we set a goal and increased it by $100.00 to $600.00.
We normally begin to promote the Lottie Moon offering which is taken in December in October which allows the congregation time to plan and get ready for the offering.
This year one family in the church decided to get started early and to take the initiative to raise money for Lottie Moon by having a bake sale. So last Friday the Strouse family led by Momma Rachel helped the kids Alexandra, Deven, Olivia, and Elyssa along with Grace and Chloe Clements (who also attend our church) prepare pumpkin muffins and hot chocolate to hold a bake sale.
It was a raging success! They were able to raise more than $60.00 for the Lottie Moon offering. Their efforts have already put us well on our way of reaching our $600.00 goal.
Grace Community Church sends out a BIG THANK YOU to the kids for taking the initiative and serving others. One day they may very well meet someone in Heaven who was reached by a missionary supported by the Lottie Moon offering!
A couple hours that can have eternal impact!
What about you? What could you do?
