What a great day we had at Grace Community Church in Berea yesterday!
Yesterday was our Acts 1:8 Sunday and we focused exclusively on missions. Our sermon text was taken from Psalm 67 in which the Psalmist prayed for God to bless the Nation of Israel.
Why did the Psalmist pray for God’s blessing? He asked for God’s blessing so that the surrounding nations would know the ways and the glory of the God of Israel.
How about you? What is your motivation for asking God for His blessing? Do you ask for His blessing in order to have more for yourself to consume it on your own lusts as James says?
Or do you ask for God’s blessing so that you will have more resources to give so that God’s ways and fame might be made known among the nations?
Great Response by the people of Grace Community Church in Berea!
I’m so pleased to report that our congregation’s response to the message was reflected in the missions offering. You gave generously and we had one of our largest missions offerings yesterday. I thank you for your sacrificial giving.
Have you seen the nursery?
A lot of hard work has gone into renovating our new space and as you can see week by week it has begun to pay off. One of my favorite rooms is the nursery.
I want to say “Thank You” to Matt, Todd and Sherry. They have worked hard on making sure that our nursery is clean, beautiful and safe for not only our little ones but also the little ones of our guests.
If you haven’t seen it I encourage you to check it out this Sunday.
Easter services at Grace Community Church in Berea
Easter is just over a month away and now is the time to begin praying for those you should invite to come to church with you on that day. Maybe it’s a family member, friend, co-worker or neighbor that you’ve been wanting to invite. Easter Sunday provides the perfect opportunity.
We’ve updated our invite cards and you can pick them up and use them to help invite people to church.
That’s all for now! Have a great week.
