We know that choosing a new church is an important decision for you and your family.
There are plenty of churches in and around Berea to choose from. Our goal is to provide you with all the information you need to make the right choice.
We’ve compiled a list of the most common questions that people have about a church. If after reading through the questions and would like to have more information or perhaps you have a specific question you would like to ask please feel free to contact us.
What is the service like?
Our service follows a carefully designed order which includes the public reading of Scripture, pastoral prayer, a time of praise and worship, and an exposition of the Scriptures. The service lasts approximately 90 minutes.
What is the music like?
The music is a mixture of traditional hymns played in a contemporary style along with more modern worship hymns.
What about my children?
We provide child care for babies and toddlers. For the teens and pre-teens we have classes and activities every other Wednesday night.
Are there opportunities to get involved?
Absolutely! We believe the Bible teaches that each Christian has been given a spiritual gift and that the development and use of that gift takes place in the context of the local church. Upon membership we will explore how you may be gifted and try and match your gift to ministry opportunities.
What about membership?
We believe that every Christian should be a member of a local church. The Bible says that “Christ died for the church”, therefore if the church was important enough for Jesus to die for then certainly we should place the right emphasis on it. We offer a membership class to help you explore the meaning of membership and to give you a chance to learn more about us as a church.
What about leadership?
We are elder led. The elders of the church have been given oversight of the church, which includes leading the church, caring for the church and the training of the future leadership of the church.
What do others say?
God has so generously blessed my life through Grace Community Church. Here at Grace I have been deeply taught His Word, grown through small group studies, and have enriching friendships.” – Rachel
What I like about Grace Community Church is its focus on Christ. I also like that GCC focuses on sharing the Gospel through evangelism. Grace is a very friendly and giving church. The church also encourages me to be more committed to Christ. – Abbey
My family visited several churches in the area. While there are certainly some good churches with loving individuals, I have not found any that matched the reception that my family received at Grace Community Church. We were immediately welcomed and received as we were. No judgment or unrealistic expectations. – Josh and Michele
